CCTV
CCTV is part of the wider approach to crime concerns and the
fear of crime in all town centres around the Cheshire East area
which comprises of Congleton, Crewe and Macclesfield linked by
fibre optic network to control centres.
The centres are operational 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and
seen to be not only a deterrent, and provide reassurance to the
public, but an effective means of detecting crime and assisting the
police in identifying offenders.
The council also works very closely with both the police and
local traders in identifying areas that maybe considered at risk,
and gives where necessary suitable advice on practical measures
that can be taken to reduce their vulnerability.
