Supporting People
Supporting People is a national
programme that aims to enable adults with housing related support
needs to live independently. This is done through different types
of support such as sheltered housing; help with budgeting;
developing social and life skills; understanding and managing a
tenancy and accessing other services.
In Cheshire East the programme supports around 8,000
vulnerable adults, these could be older people, people
with learning disabilities, teenage parents or people experiencing
homelessness. Supporting People is a working partnership of local
government, health, probation, support providers and service
users.
