Research and Intelligence
Research and Intelligence provides a
comprehensive service to inform Council decision making, by
interpreting the views and aspirations of local residents, visitors
and employees, in order to shape future services in a way that best
meets their needs.
We use a wide range of methods to collect
social, economic and demographic information, including: surveys,
focus groups, bespoke events/projects and analysis of secondary
datasets such as the Census.
We Can Help You If:
- You want to benchmark your performance over time, particularly
if you want to see if satisfaction with your service has
changed
- You want to improve your relationship with your customers and
create a more ‘user-focused’ service
- You need to understand what
residents/employees/visitors/members think or feel about a
particular issue or aspect of your service
- You want to see how people would react to a new idea or
initiative
- You need to understand why people are using or perhaps more
importantly, not using your service
- You want to look for possible gaps in service provision
- You need factual evidence about a particular issue.
Our Aims
We aim to ensure that policy development,
performance reporting and the services provided by the Council are
based on sound evidence and meet the needs and expectations of our
communities.
