Provides support
for men and women who are at high risk from domestic abuse.
Independent Domestic Violence Advocates (IDVAs) based at
the Family Safety Unit can offer support with safety
planning, housing, civil and criminal legal remedies, support to
attend criminal court as a witness, accessing support for your
children and providing information and support to explore your
options and choices to help address your safety. If your name is
referred to the Multi Agency Risk assessment Conference (MARAC)
then your
IDVA
will act as
your voice as that meeting and feedback any actions to you.

Within the Domestic Abuse Floating Support Service we provide a
specialist Male Victims Floating Support Officer as we believe that
an essential aspect of supporting and helping to meet the needs of
male domestic abuse survivors is to challenge myths and stereotypes
and remove barriers that prevent men accessing the help and support
they need.
We provide a diverse range of services to meet the needs of the
whole community. The service is flexible and able to respond
quickly to a diverse range of needs providing support such as:
finding/setting up a new home, keeping safe, security measures,
debt, welfare benefits, legal advice, life skills,
budgeting/finance management, support to access employment or
education, health and safety checks, access to leisure, sports,
clubs etc and access to other support services.

Barnardo’s Floating Support Service offers intensive support for
men and their children who have experienced domestic abuse.
Barnardo’s can offer 1:1 support with an allocated worker who will
visit you regularly at your home or in a safe place convenient to
you. They will chat with you about what support you need and
can help you to: keep your children safe, find ways of being safe
in your own home/ local area, understand the impact of domestic
abuse and consider recovery programmes and courses, find and or set
up a new home, manage debt/ finances, access benefits, have your
voice heard, build your confidence levels, access leisure, sport
etc, get legal advice.
We offer specialist support for male victims of domestic abuse
by providing a dedicated support worker, to acknowledge their
individual needs and circumstances and to ensure early and
effective intervention for men regardless of their sexuality.

Victim Support is an independent charity for people affected by
crime our, services are confidential and free and available for
anyone whether they have reported the incident to the police or
not.
We have both male and female volunteers who have been specially
trained to give information, practical help, safety planning and
emotional support to male victims of domestic abuse.

The Rape and Sexual Abuse Support Centre offers a comprehensive
range of support services to men and young boys who have
experienced any form of sexual violence, whether it happened
recently or a while ago. The service is available across Cheshire
with offices in Macclesfield and Crewe and includes an information
line, Independent Sexual Violence Advisors and Specialist
Counselling.

Outrite provides support, information and advice on all aspects
of sexuality and sexual health. We are a voluntary sector
organisation run by and for lesbian, gay and bisexual people. Our
Aim is to develop a healthier community; to improve the quality of
life for gay and bisexual people and maintain and promote good
sexual health, mental health and general well being. Our services
include, but are not limited to the following- One-to-one support
sessions, Social and support groups, Counselling, Helpline,
Workshops, Training, Sexual Health Companion, Sexual Health
Resources, Library, Internet Access, Counselling, Stop Smoking
Service, Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea Screening.
