Community Grants 2010/11
Funding for Voluntary and Community Groups
If your voluntary or community group is looking for funding,
then Cheshire East Council may be able to offer the financial
assistance you require. The Council is looking to support
projects which will benefit both the people and the environment of
the Borough.
For 2010/11 there are four decision meetings. Closing dates for
applications are 1st April; 1st July; 1st October 2010
and 1st January 2011.
Voluntary organisations bidding to receive grants must provide
local services which encourage community action. Good examples
of the types of work which may receive grant support are projects
to:
- identify community needs
- implement solutions to community needs
- increase a sense of belonging
- involvement in and responsibility for your community
- help voluntary and community groups become more efficient and
effective
A grant may only be used for the purpose outlined in the
application. Any part of the grant not spent must be paid back
to Cheshire East Council. Groups will be notified of a decision in
writing and if successful, will be required to provide written
feedback on how the grant money has been spent.
