Ways to pay for parking
Charges are applied to the car parks we manage in order to ensure spaces are made available to as many customers as possible. The charges are applied on a zonal basis within towns so that those nearest the business districts are managed for shorter stay, with outer zones providing longer stay parking.
Please note that parking charges apply on all Bank Holidays. Charges vary from car park to car park and from town to town. Please ensure that you read the Tariff Boards situated at the entrance to the Car Park or by each of the Pay and Display Machines. Details are also on the car park web page for each town.
New pay and display ticket machines
Parking Services are in the process of installing new ticket machines across the Borough, the METRIC Elite LS range of payment terminals will accept the new £1 coins and also the old style £1 coins until they are taken out of circulation. The machines will eventually be able to accept contactless payments and chip and pin payment using a debit/credit card.
RingGo cashless parking
Motorists across Cheshire East can now take advantage of paying for parking via their mobile phone. RingGo allows you to pay for your parking without having to visit a parking meter - you just need a mobile phone and a payment card.
Faulty ticket machines and refunds
All ticket machines are modern, reliable machines which have a computer link that reports all faults to us immediately. If, however, you have noticed a faulty ticket machine and wish to report it then please contact us on 0300 123 5020.
If you have lost money in a ticket machine and wish to apply for a refund, you will need to provide a copy of the ticket which you subsequently purchased to indicate that you had paid for your period of parking. If you provide a copy of this requested ticket and we can verify a machine fault then you will qualify for a refund of the money you have lost in the machine.
Please note that a refund is only applicable where there have been audited faults on the ticket machine; refunds are not applicable on unused tickets. Refunds are also not applicable where an error has been made on the input of the vehicle registration number.
