• Directgov  - provides advice and information on buying goods and services.
• Rip-Off Tip-Off - is a website jointly developed by Trading Standards and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI). It designed to let you tell us about traders who you think are 'Ripping Off ' the UK public. Tip offs can be made anonymously and your information could help us to stop someone else being "ripped off".
• The Office of Fair Trading - has produced an advice leaflet – “How to Recognise a Scam - Is it too good to be true”.
