Business Engagement Business and Partner Focus Group

Cheshire East Council has once again secured monies in this year’s budget to continue to deliver its business engagement programme of activities. We would like to invite you to join us at a business and partner focus group, to help shape the business engagement activities for 2013-2014. Your participation and feedback in this focus group will help us to clearly understand how to target the funding, to ensure that we are making the best impact.

Since 2009 Cheshire East Council has worked with partners (from the public and private sectors) to deliver a number of business engagement activities, which have included:

• Workshops – demystifying business topics (these have included social media, branding, marketing, procurement, etc.) – businesses say they want more, but it would be good to see what other topics need to be addressed/what topics we should repeat and how these should be delivered in future.
• Opportunities to speak to a business adviser on a one-to-one basis.
• Providing an impartial platform to deliver key business messages – making sure local businesses are aware of the latest support available.
• Events – these have included the recent Celebrate Your Success event (over a 100 new businesses attended) and the North West Women’s Event.

North West Women's Enterprise Day 2013

Cheshire East Council is proud to announce that we will once again be the main sponsor and co-host of the award winning annual North West Women’s event. Cheshire East Council are delighted to be working again with the event organiser, social entrepreneur Melanie Bryan OBE.

The event is the largest gathering of enterprising women and attracts delegates from the private, public and third sectors throughout the North West (Cheshire, Cumbria, Greater Manchester, Lancashire and Merseyside). In the last three years all 250 tickets have sold out in just 3 weeks and we have received exceptional feedback from delegates, sponsors and workshop participants.
