What is Love Local Life?
Love Local Life is your great local discount and reward card
which offers savings across Cheshire East! It is the best way you
can save when shopping locally, and can be used when eating out,
buying gifts, keeping fit, using local business services and much,
much more.
The ‘Love Local Life’ discount card was launched in the
Macclesfield, Wilmslow and Alderley Edge areas in 2009, offering
shoppers significant discounts if they stick to local shopping. It
has so far proved a massive success with over 20,000 cards now in
circulation.
Now also available in Middlewich, Congleton and Disley,
with other towns across Cheshire East following suit during the
next 12 months. For more details see the Love Local Life website.
The card can also be downloaded as a free mobile phone APP. This
can be found in both the iTunes app store or Android Marketplace by
searching for Love Local Life.
Amanda Fazalynia, the Macclesfield businesswoman behind the
concept, said:
“Love Local Life has provided a much-needed boost to the local
economy in Macclesfield and we're confident that the scheme could
do the same for other towns across Cheshire East.”
Councillor Jamie Macrae, Cheshire East Cabinet member with
responsibility for prosperity, said: “At a time when high streets
are struggling to cope with the effects of a recession and a slow
recovery period, we are proud to be supporting such a proactive
campaign."
Funding has been granted to Love Local through the Council’s
Economic Recovery Task Group.
Please note:
Love Local Life cards
are available free of charge from Tourist Information Centres,
Leisure Centres and Libraries in participating towns. You can
also apply for a card on the Love Local Life website,
