'Repurposing our High Streets'

We want Crewe town centre to thrive and to see its empty shops filled once more with new and exciting businesses and organisations that will boost footfall, create new jobs, strengthen the mix of businesses in the town centre, and improve the overall look of the surrounding area.

That’s why we’re pleased to offer a new grant scheme aimed at achieving exactly that.

Our ‘Repurposing Our High Streets’ scheme is receiving funding from Crewe’s allocation of up to £22.9m from the government’s Towns Fund, which will support the town’s ongoing regeneration and deliver real and lasting benefits to its communities.

We’re offering grants for businesses that take on empty commercial premises in the town centre to help them with the costs of fitting them out and buying essential equipment.

Tailored business support is also available, as well as funding to make shop windows more attractive to potential tenants.
