The automotive manufacturing sector is well established in Cheshire East, with 24 companies employing 5,300 skills staff and an annual GVA of £345 million. It is a diverse industry which offers everything from large scale operations manufacturing world famous luxury cars, niche vehicle modification specialists and suppliers and component manufacturers.
Over the last 10 years Cheshire East companies have invested over £530 million in modernisation, research and development and innovation and increased production of luxury vehicle car components globally including £500 million by Bentley Motors to bring a new generation state of the art facility and product range to Crewe.
