Winter Weather Update Wednesday February 3, 12:30pm
All priority routes will be salted from 2pm this afternoon
(Wednesday February 3). This action is being taken following
forecasts for ice and snow (possibly heavy in places) in the
Cheshire East area over the next 24 hours.
Our Highways Officers will monitor the weather conditions and
and deploy gritting vehicles where necessary. Drivers are asked to
take extra care at this time.
Report Highway Faults
Due to the recent severe weather conditions roads have been
exposed to ‘freeze-thaw’ damage e.g. potholes. To report
a highway fault, you can call the Highways Service
on 0845 002 066 or
report it online.

Frozen Pipes
Severe Weather Information to the Public
United Utilities are currently receiving large call volumes from
customers who are experiencing frozen pipes on private services and
other severe weather related problems.
If you are experiencing problems please visit United
Utilities Winter Weather Advice to determine if the problem is
private or a matter for United Utilities before calling.

Bus Service Update Wednesday 13th
January, 11am
All ARRIVA buses running to timetable. However there are delays on
the following services:
Road closures in Rainow mean that Bowers services from Macclesfield
to Buxton and Whaley Bridge are not running at present.
Delays with the GHA service 75 around Nantwich – this is due to a
minor diversion.
Cheshire East Roads Affected by The Snow

A54 before and after Cheshire
East Council's Highways had deployed a Snow Plough.

A537 Anchor Cross Roads North and Anchor Cross Roads severely
hit by the snow.
